This low calorie rum sauce is perfect with low calorie bread pudding


Low calorie bread pudding begs for a low calorie rum sauce to go with it. Well here is the recipe for a delicious sauce with much of the fat and calories removed.


Light and yummy Rum Sauce

Ingredients

1/2 cup skim milk

1/2 cup evaporated skim milk

1 tablespoon corn starch

2 tablespoon dark rum

2 tablespoon + 2 teaspoon Splenda brand sweetener

pinch cinnamon


Directions

In a small saucepan, blend all ingredients.

Heat over medium high heat. Once sauce comes to a boil, remove from heat and stir constantly so sauce will not coagulate.

Foam forming on the sauce is normal and will disappear when cooling.

To serve, spoon the hot bread pudding onto dessert plates and top with the rum sauce.
